Cheap Moving Boxes
When moving your home or office, one of the first things that may cross your mind is “how much is it going to cost?” Let me tell you that for the boxes themselves, well, you will be paying more for a bag of peanuts on the way to your new home/office if you follow my advice.
The cheapest moving boxes if you are going to a retailer are obviously going to be the smaller ones. However, the real deal depends on if it’s the amount of space you want, or the amount of boxes you want. For example a small box at 14 by 12 by 10 inches is $1.40. A large box is 20 by 20 by 15 inches for $3.30. The small box has a volume of 1680; however, the large box has a volume of 6000! So although you may think that more small boxes for cheaper is better value than going for less larger boxes, you would be wrong!
Size Matters?
So the bigger box is more value for your money, however this depends on the items that need to be packed. Take paper or books, these are heavy items, in this circumstance then go for the smaller box.
You can purchase these boxes easily online through a search engine; I don’t need to give out any particular business addresses because in they are all selling the same boxes at similar prices. However, if that doesn’t rock your boat, then maybe this will.
Here comes the inside tip, the real tip of the iceberg.
Bring your ear closer.
You can get them for free…
Free? Where? Who? What?
Think about it, you can get boxes everywhere. You probably have an excess of boxes at your work, at the supermarket, at your friends work. Someone somewhere near you has an excess amount of boxes they are willing to just give away. A point to add, if you were to get the boxes for free then the ones actually holding heavy items would be the ideal boxes to use. Because they already have a status of holding heavy items they can do the same for you. Be sure to get permission from whoever owns the store or business before taking them, because that would be theft.
So to conclude this cheap moving boxes ordeal, for some free boxes you can go to your workplace and ask to use the ones left over, I don’t see why they wouldn’t let you. However if you want to buy specially made boxes for moving a house, the best way to go around buying the best priced ones is to not go for the packages, but do go for the bigger boxes as they will give you the more space for your money. You can buy these boxes online easily or by doing a local search on your favourite search engine. (i.e. “moving boxes” and “your city”)
